Strohl Through Atlanta Welcome Reception
Sunday, October 17 - 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thanks in large part to its location, Atlanta’s local cuisine has evolved into a unique blend of northern and southern fare. Everything from spicy-enough-to-make-you-sweat BBQ to delicate vegetarian dishes can be found in this vibrant city. The Strohl Through Atlanta Welcome Reception featured food that has made this city famous including culinary treats with a bohemian flare from the Inman Park neighborhood, the true southern comfort food of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhood – Grant Park – and the hip and trendy fusion cuisine that draws thousands to East Atlanta restaurants every night.

An Evening at the Fox!
Tuesday, October 19 - 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Conference attendees enjoyed one of Atlanta’s most historic landmarks – The Fox Theatre – for a night of great food and music as well as some “star studded" surprises. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Fox has hosted receptions and special events for visiting ambassadors, noted U.S. politicians, and international dignitaries, including Prince Charles. Surviving bankruptcy, foreclosure, and near-destruction, this historical theatre was saved by a devoted Atlanta community and has become one of the country’s premier venues. The Fox has hosted performances by The Rolling Stones, The Atlanta Ballet, Broadway productions of A Chorus Line and Les Miserables, and Metropolitan Opera soprano Beverly Sills.

Strohl Systems' Tactical Exercise
Some of our attendees took advantage of Strohl's tabletop disaster simulation and experienced what it’s like to be part of the recovery team as the disaster unfolds. In this tactical exercise, during which approximately 48 hours of recovery effort will be simulated, each attendee was assigned to a recovery team. From there, each team was responsible for completing that team’s recovery duties, keeping the Emergency Operations Center up to date, communicating with other teams, and making the decisions affecting the resumption of critical business operations for the fictional company.

Attendees had a chance to see Incident Manager in action. Throughout the simulation, Incident Manager was used to track and manage the disaster. Incident Manager also projected the recovery process so that all attendees can see how the recovery is progressing, where there are problems, and whether the recovery effort is on schedule.
