October 2 -4—DRP 501 Business Continuity Planning Review Class

October 4—CBCP Examination, 12:30 p.m.

The Disaster Recovery Institute International will offer the Business Continuity Planning Review class (DRP 501) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) Examination in conjunction with the 2002 Strohl Systems International User Group Conference. The review course will be offered for professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge of the field and/or prepare for the certification examination on October 4. The review class costs $1095 and includes the cost of the exam. Or the exam can be taken alone for $250, payable directly to DRI International. The exam will take approximately two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half hours to complete.

To qualify as a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), applicants must accumulate a minimum of two years of experience in business continuity/disaster recovery planning and be approved by the DRI International’s Certification Board. The DRI International also provides the Associate Business Continuity Planner (ABCP) level of certification for those who pass the CBCP examination, but have not yet accumulated the two years of experience.
